HIBAPRESS – Sidi Allal El Bahraoui
The issue of the pricing of large taxis connecting Sidi Allal El Bahraoui and neighboring cities has sparked a debate among public transport users in the city in recent days, following the circulation of news about new price increases.
According to information received by HIBAPRESS, large taxi professionals operating on the Sidi Allal El Bahraoui – Salé line have rejected the proposed increase and decided to maintain the current fare of 15 dirhams, emphasizing that raising the price, despite the rising cost of fuel, would negatively impact customers, particularly students and workers who rely on this route daily.
In contrast, the line connecting Sidi Allal El Bahraoui and Kénitra has seen a fare increase, rising from 15 to 20 dirhams, which in turn has caused dissatisfaction among a number of taxi users.
These developments come at a time when demands from a number of students and residents to provide a bus transport line connecting Sidi Allal El Bahraoui with Salé and Rabat are being renewed, which would offer an alternative mode of transport and alleviate the burden of daily commuting.
