HIBAPRESS – Tifelt
National Road No. 6 witnessed a new traffic accident this Tuesday morning at the Level of Al-Libnat area, belonging to the Ain Al-Jawhara Sidi Boukhalkhal commune in the Khémisset province, following a collision between a large truck and a light vehicle.
The accident resulted in the death of the car driver due to his injuries, while two women who were with him sustained varying injuries. They were transported to the local hospital in Tifelt to receive necessary medical treatment.
Upon being notified of the accident, local authorities, Royal Gendarmerie elements, and Civil Protection rushed to the scene. The accident site was secured, and the injured were transported. Meanwhile, the competent authorities launched an investigation to determine the circumstances and causes of the accident, under the supervision of the Public Prosecution.
This incident brings to the forefront the condition of this road section, which is undergoing maintenance work, at a time when the road connecting Tifelt and Sidi Allal El Bahraoui is classified by its users among axes that witness frequent accidents, raising demands to strengthen safety measures, signage, and speed control to avoid further incidents.
