In the early hours of Wednesday, September 9th, a fierce fight broke out on Al-Borg Street near the "Bakoura" area in the city of Berkane. The altercation was between a group of immigrants from sub-Saharan African countries residing in a rented house and a number of local residents.
According to informed sources, the disagreement between the two parties suddenly escalated into verbal altercations and then into a physical confrontation, resulting in a young Moroccan man sustaining serious head injuries after being struck with a sharp object.
Upon being notified of the incident, elements of civil defense in Berkane rushed to the scene. The injured man was quickly transported to the emergency room at Al-Draq Regional Hospital in Berkane to receive necessary first aid and treatment.
The incident also mobilized the city's security services, who moved to the site to restore order and control the situation. Security agencies have opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to uncover the circumstances and details of the dispute, and to identify those involved for their arrest and the necessary legal actions against them.
