A dispute involving assault and battery between two brothers in the Al-Widan commune, on the outskirts of Marrakech, during the past week, has revealed threads linked to a number of criminal cases. Investigations launched by elements of the Royal Gendarmerie's territorial center in Ouled Hassoun led to the arrest of two individuals suspected of involvement in cases related to motorcycle theft and the trafficking of hallucinogenic pills.
According to the initial available data, the investigations conducted in the aftermath of the assault between the two brothers have led to the suspicion that one of the parties in the dispute is involved in cases related to motorcycle theft in the Al-Widan area.
Continuing the investigations, the same data indicates that the inquiries led to the identification of a second individual suspected of participating in theft acts, before he was arrested and both suspects were subjected to investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
The available data also revealed that the first detainee is suspected of involvement in a case related to the trafficking of hallucinogenic pills, as well as suspicion of his connection to an incident where a goods transport vehicle was pelted with stones, before the perpetrator fled.
The two suspects were taken to the territorial center of the Royal Gendarmerie in Ouled Hassoun, where they were placed under police custody, before being presented before the competent public prosecution in Marrakech to take the legally required measures.
This operation comes within the framework of the continuous security efforts undertaken by the Royal Gendarmerie services in Ouled Hassoun to combat various forms of crime, firmly confront theft and the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as pursuing cases that threaten the safety and security of citizens.
