HIBAPRESS – Larache
Two girls in the city of Larache have revealed details of what they described as an assault they were subjected to this week near the Al-Shurafa neighborhood and Jabir ibn Hayyan school, after they refused, according to their statements, harassment and molestation by a group of young men.
One of the girls said they were waiting for a delivery person when the harassment, according to her account, escalated into a physical assault after they refused to respond to the molestation. She added that a citizen attempted to intervene to break up the dispute and help them, before he was also assaulted. The two girls stated that the incident ended, according to their statements, with the theft of a handbag belonging to one of them, containing about 2000 dirhams and a gold chain, which they said left them in a state of shock and dismay. According to available information, the two girls filed a complaint with the national security services, awaiting what the investigations and inquiries will reveal regarding the circumstances of the incident and the identification of the individuals involved.
