The Al-Awama area in Tangier witnessed a serious traffic accident a short while ago this Monday evening, after a truck dedicated to transporting cement collided with a number of cars, before crushing nine vehicles that were traveling on the road. The accident caused significant material losses, in addition to injuries among a number of people.
Immediately after the accident, the incident mobilized civil defense elements and security services. Intervention took place to provide first aid to the injured and transport them urgently to the emergency department in Tangier, amidst information indicating that some of them sustained injuries described as serious.
The accident caused significant material damage to the affected cars, while the security services began their procedures to ascertain the circumstances and details of the incident, and to determine the reasons that led to the loss of control of the truck, awaiting the results of the ongoing inspections and investigations.
