Nabil Benabdellah, Secretary-General of the Party of Progress and Socialism, stated that his party aspires to obtain approximately 50 seats in the upcoming legislative elections, considering this goal is based on a set of data related to the party's strength and its political and field presence.
Benabdellah explained, during his appearance on "Medi 1" channel on Monday evening, that these estimates are based, among other things, on what he described as the "strength" of a number of the party's candidates, and the work carried out by the organization over the past five years, in addition to its historical record spanning 83 years of political work and struggle, alongside its presence in the opposition during the last term.
The Secretary-General of the Party of Progress and Socialism added that the party's electoral program represents another factor that enhances his confidence in the possibility of achieving this result, describing it as an ambitious and clear leftist program, and noting that a number of circles have considered it among the best programs in terms of preparation, structuring, content, and quantification.
Benabdellah stressed that reaching the ceiling of 50 seats remains primarily linked to the level of electoral participation, calling on citizens to overcome abstention and go to the polls in large numbers.
He said that the party is capable of achieving this goal "if people vote," considering that a high turnout rate will be a decisive factor in determining the results of the upcoming elections.
