HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Idriss Azmi Al-Idrissi, head of the Justice and Development Party's parliamentary group in the House of Representatives, called on the government to adopt a more equitable approach to wealth creation and distribution, emphasizing the need to broaden the circle of beneficiaries of deals and economic opportunities to include various national actors.
During his intervention in the session discussing the government's statement, Azmi criticized what he considered the concentration of deals in the hands of the same companies and faces, calling for an end to this situation and for opportunities to be made available to other companies and economic actors to contribute to development and benefit from the potential offered by the national economy. Azmi told Al-Mansouri: "Distribute the goodness and wealth to the sons of this people, so that the same faces and the same companies don't take everything." The speaker stressed that wealth creation should not remain an end in itself, but must be accompanied by a more just distribution of the benefits of growth, allowing Moroccans broader opportunities for investment, work, and improvement of their social and economic conditions. Azmi affirmed that the sons of the country and its companies deserve equal opportunities to participate in the economic cycle, calling on the government to make equal opportunities and transparency in awarding deals among the fundamental pillars of public finance management and stimulating the national economy.
