The four faculties in Nador are experiencing a state of tension and discontent among male and female students, as a result of the exacerbation of structural and environmental problems that cast a dark shadow over the normal progress of academic achievement within the university institutions in the region.
In field statements, one of the students sounded the alarm about the reality of the infrastructure, highlighting in the first place the problem of a dangerous "river" that divides the four Nador faculties into two main parts and constitutes a major obstacle to the daily movement of students.
The danger of this watercourse is not limited to hindering access to the faculties only, but its environmental disaster turns into a direct health threat, given its use as a channel for sewage pipes that empty in the middle of the university campus coming from residential complexes, which portends the risks of students contracting infectious diseases.
Regarding sports facilities, the same source denounced the demolition of the sports complex in the region without providing clear justifications for the stoppage of its works, pointing out that previous promises to link the start of its work to the budget of 2026 clashed with the reality of the absence of any field movement as 2027 approached.
In a related context, the project to establish the Higher School of Technology emerges as one of the postponed development promises, as a special budget and a plot of land were allocated to it, and its works were scheduled to start in 2026, but it remains, until now, merely "ink on paper" lacking any actual achievement.
In addition to that, students in general place great hopes and wide confidence in the new officials within the new appointments that have affected the four faculties, looking forward to their positive and serious interaction with the urgent student demands. At the forefront of these demands is the problem of the absence of a equipped university library that provides students with a suitable space for review and academic achievement, a deficiency that doubles the volume of daily challenges facing the patrons of these institutions.
These burning files confirm the magnitude of the major structural challenges burdening the university community in Nador, which necessitates urgent and responsible intervention by the concerned authorities to find radical solutions that ensure a sound and safe educational environment.
