The first meeting of the Steering and Monitoring Board of the Social Works Foundation for the Staff of the Prison Administration and Reintegration, established by Royal Decree No. 1.25.73 dated January 22, 2026, implementing Law No. 74.24, was held on September 15, 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Director-General, who, in his opening directive speech, congratulated all male and female employees and retirees on this significant social achievement. This marks a turning point in the management of social work for this category of state employees, who are subject to a quasi-military system and work in a closed environment characterized by specificity, not only in terms of the nature of the prison institution as a workplace, but also in the gravity and specificity of their tasks and their danger, and in the nature and extent of the growing and diverse social needs of employees and their families.
In this context, the foundation's strategic plan was presented, emphasizing that its compass should be based on preserving, valuing, and improving achievements, and ensuring continued access to all social services and activities previously provided by the Mohammedian Foundation for Social Works for Judges and Justice Employees and the Social Solidarity Association for Prison Administration and Reintegration Staff. The plan also aims to sustain, mobilize, and develop the necessary resources, while adhering to the foundation's guiding principles of establishing good governance, transparency, equal opportunities, and results-based management. It prioritizes serving the employee, focusing on programs with direct social impact, so that the foundation acts as a support and aid for employees, retirees, widows, and orphans, meeting their evolving social needs in all circumstances and occasions.
During this meeting, all necessary foundational documents were approved to ensure the foundation's commencement of operations. It was also emphasized the need to mobilize the efforts of all officials and employees, both centrally and locally, to support the foundation during this transitional phase, enabling it to achieve its objectives and solidify its position as an effective institutional framework and social shield that contributes to human capital investment, motivation, improved readiness and professional productivity, enhanced administrative and security performance, and support for efforts to humanize prison environments and facilitate rehabilitation and reintegration, in line with the supreme royal directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God support him.
