Elements of the local judicial police force in the city of Beni Ansar, affiliated with the regional security of Nador, on September 15, managed to arrest an individual suspected of involvement in drug and psychotropic substance trafficking. This was part of a security operation targeting a person suspected of using a vehicle for this purpose.
According to available information, the suspect's arrest came after security services received intelligence regarding movements related to cocaine trafficking between the areas of Farkhana and Beni Ansar. The competent public prosecutor's office was then notified, and the necessary legal procedures were taken.
The search conducted inside the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 118 units of cocaine and 27 hallucinogenic tablets, in addition to sums of money suspected to be linked to trafficking activities, as well as an electronic scale, a woolen mask, a large knife, and a license plate suspected of illegal use.
The vehicle suspected of being used in these acts was also seized and subjected to the applicable technical and legal procedures. The arrested individual was placed under police custody under the order of the public prosecutor's office, pending the completion of the judicial investigation.
Investigations are ongoing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, with the case and seized items being referred to the Nador regional judicial police service, with the aim of determining all the circumstances and details of the case, uncovering any potential ramifications, and apprehending any other alleged accomplices.
