HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
The area near Bouaazar in the Zagora province witnessed a serious incident today, Saturday, after strong floods swept away a car attempting to pass through difficult weather conditions, a scene reflecting the magnitude of risks that may result from thunderstorms and sudden water flows.
This incident comes amidst weather fluctuations affecting several areas in the Draa-Tafilalet region, where rainfall and thunderstorms have caused the formation of sudden floods, disrupting movement and increasing the level of danger for road users and paths near watercourses.
The incident brings to the forefront the importance of exercising extreme caution during periods of heavy rainfall, especially in areas known for flash floods, as the force of water flow can change in a short time, making attempts to cross certain road sections and watercourses a risky adventure.
Under these circumstances, adhering to the directives of the competent authorities and avoiding proximity to areas with strong water flows remain among the most important measures to prevent serious accidents, until weather conditions improve and traffic returns to normal.
