On Saturday, French authorities released Egyptian wrestler Mohamed Ibrahim Kicho, who was arrested after being accused of harassment.
Investigations against Kisho were definitively closed due to the lack of evidence convicting the player.
The Egyptian Olympic Committee said in a statement: “Olympic wrestler Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho obtained his release from the French police because the accusation of harassment of a young French woman was not proven, as he was accused of.”
The statement added: “The investigations against Mohamed Ibrahim Kisho have been definitively closed due to the absence of any evidence incriminating the player, the cameras having been discharged at the scene of the incident, and the French investigation authorities have not found any shameful act on the part of the Egyptian player towards the girl.
