HIBAPRESS – Ahmed El Messaoud
In a step aimed at meeting the requirements of the new school and university year, the urban transport fleet in the city of Oujda is being strengthened with a third batch consisting of 11 additional buses, bringing the total to 39 buses allocated to ensure the transportation of residents and students across various city routes.
This initiative, overseen by the Wali of the Oriental Region and the Local Development Company for Transport and Mobility, comes to keep pace with the increase in movement at the beginning of the academic season and in response to the pressure on vital routes that witness significant congestion during peak hours, most notably the route leading to Mohammed First University and the Technopole route.
These proactive measures were not limited to the logistical aspect but also included settling the social entitlements of the workforce. Financial installments and contributions to the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) have been paid for 160 workers at the new company, with an anticipated announcement of the recruitment of additional cadres and drivers to keep pace with the fleet's expansion, in preparation for the launch of a fourth batch of buses in the coming period.
