HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Manfalouti
The security services in the city of Sattat found on Tuesday morning the body of an infant, believed to have been abandoned in the open near the Alwan neighborhood east of the city, in circumstances described as mysterious.
The painful incident, in the midst of a wave of cold and frost, caused a wave of resentment and discontent among many followers of local affairs, demanding a tougher penalty and a firm hand against those who commit these humanitarian crimes within a disgusting phenomenon that questions the advocates of liberation and supporters of illegal relationships outside the framework of the marital home. The incident prompted the opening of an investigation into the matter, under the instructions of the competent Public Prosecution, while the infant's body was transferred to the morgue at the Hassan II Hospital Center in Sattat. The issue of disposing of infants, whether alive or dead, is casting its frightening shadows on the societal scene in many cities and regions, which the Moroccan Center for Human Rights warned against earlier, stressing that Morocco witnesses the daily birth of more than 100 children of unknown fathers, half of whom are considered potential street children, while many families witness numerous disintegration phenomena, which can be estimated at one new family out of ten families per year, the victims of which are primarily the children, which causes them to be thrown into the streets, without a caregiver, and sometimes without shelter. A strange phenomenon for our Islamic values and morals, has swept most of our streets and near garbage containers, which is the wave that carried with it the pains and sighs of newborns or dead infants thrown into the clutches of crime, loss, homelessness, misery and even free death in a time of singing with terms foreign to our conservative society that refuses to circulate and coexist with them, especially if they are combined with the term "single mother" in a clear reference and an explicit invitation to weave illegal sexual relationships that increased in intensity and development, the farce of dubbed films from the East that invaded homes and destroyed values.
