Judicial police elements in the city of Jerada, during a security operation on Wednesday night, arrested a man in his twenties who had been under security surveillance for some time, on suspicion of his involvement in the trafficking of cocaine and hard drugs.
According to available data, security elements were able to apprehend the suspect on the road leading to the Hamria area, after investigations revealed that he was using his motorcycle for his suspected illicit activities.
The same data indicates that the detainee attempted to exploit the election period to continue his activities, but the vigilance of the judicial police prevented this. He was arrested in possession of a significant quantity of cocaine, along with a bladed weapon.
The suspect was taken to the police headquarters, where he was placed under judicial custody, by order of the competent public prosecution, for the purpose of further investigation to determine all the circumstances of the case, uncover the extent of the suspected activity, and identify other involved individuals or potential suppliers.
This operation is part of the security efforts aimed at combating drug trafficking of all kinds and enhancing security vigilance in the city of Jerada and its surroundings.
