The Justice and Development Party announced on Thursday that it will hold an extraordinary session of its National Council on Saturday, September 26, 2026, to discuss the results of the House of Representatives elections that took place on Wednesday.
The party explained in a statement addressed to the members of the National Council that the session's work will begin at 10 AM at the Moulay Rachid Youth and Children Complex in Bouznika.
The statement indicated that holding the session comes in accordance with the provisions of the party's fundamental and internal regulations, and the internal regulations of the National Council, while the statement was considered an invitation to the council members to attend the work of the extraordinary session.
Members of the party's National Council are scheduled to decide on the possibility of accepting entry into the anticipated government coalition or not.
The House of Representatives elections that took place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, resulted in the party ranking fourth with 54 seats.
