HIBAPRESS – Tiznit
Royal Gendarmerie elements from the Tiznit territorial center, on Sunday, managed to dismantle a secret unit that was active in distilling and promoting the alcoholic beverage "Ma Al Hayat" (water of life), in the Ait Taleb Yahya tribe in the Ouled Jerrar commune in the Tiznit province.
The operation resulted in the seizure of equipment and tools used in the distillation process, along with quantities of the alcoholic beverage ready for promotion and fermented raw materials.
The main suspect was also arrested and placed under police custody by order of the competent public prosecution, as part of the investigation aimed at uncovering other accomplices and potential suppliers.
The operation is part of the security campaigns undertaken by the Royal Gendarmerie services in the Tiznit province to combat the production and promotion of unlicensed alcoholic beverages and to confront various forms of crime.
