The legislative elections held on September 23, 2026, in the Drâa-Tafilalet region resulted in changes to the parliamentary map, as a number of representatives who represented the region's provinces during the previous term failed to renew their presence in the House of Representatives, in contrast to the emergence of new names that secured seats in the four constituencies.
Among the most prominent figures who lost their seats is Moulay El Hassan Benlfqih of the Independence Party in the Errachidia constituency, after he was unable to return to parliament despite his renomination. Meanwhile, Amro Oujil also left the parliamentary scene for the same constituency, after having topped the results of the 2021 elections under the banner of the National Rally of Independents, before contesting the 2026 elections with the colors of the Progress and Socialism Party.
In the Midelt province, Rachid Adnan, a candidate for the Independence Party and a parliamentarian during the previous term, did not succeed in retaining his seat, as he was not among the names that secured the three seats allocated to the constituency.
In Zagora, Mimoun Amiri's parliamentary career ended after he failed to renew his seat, as the three seats went to Abdelrahim Shahid, Al-Hussein Walal, and Youssef Amenzou.
In Ouarzazate, Youssef Cheri, the head of the list for the National Rally of Independents, was eliminated from the parliamentary race after the results obtained did not enable him to win one of the three seats. He thus became the fifth prominent name from the previous term's parliamentarians to lose his seat in the Drâa-Tafilalet region, which witnessed the 2026 elections redraw a significant part of its composition within the House of Representatives.
