The Directorate of Studies and Financial Forecasts revealed that the number of subscribers in Morocco's mobile phone park exceeded 58.8 million subscribers at the end of June 2026, showing near-complete stability compared to the same period last year, with an increase not exceeding 0.1 percent.
The Directorate explained, in its latest economic outlook bulletin, that the mobile phone penetration rate reached 157.9 percent at the end of the first half of 2026, compared to 159.6 percent during the same period in 2025, and 135.6 percent during the first half of 2021.
Regarding the fixed telephone park, the Directorate indicated that it recorded a growth of 8 percent during the first half of 2026.
As for the internet park, the number of subscribers increased by 1.9 percent by the end of June 2026, reaching approximately 42 million subscribers, compared to a growth of 5.2 percent during the previous year.
The internet penetration rate also increased to 112.6 percent at the end of June 2026, compared to 111.8 percent during the same period in 2025, and 86.2 percent at the end of June 2021.
