HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyaoui
In the past few hours, some electronic websites and social media pages have circulated photos and videos related to electoral activities in the Ait Bougmez region of Azilal province. These were accompanied by comments presenting them as documentation of protest marches following the election results.
According to special sources for HIBAPRESS, the circulated photos and clips pertain to activities related to the election campaign and do not document any protest marches or vigils connected to the ballot results, contrary to what has been promoted on some digital platforms.
The same sources clarified that the scenes that were re-circulated outside their original context were presented in a way that might suggest protests after the results were announced, while the photos and clips, according to available data, are not related to any protest movement of this kind.
This information comes in the context of the continued circulation of various visual content on social media. Re-publishing old photos or videos, or those related to previous electoral events, without clarifying their date and context, can open the door to inaccurate interpretations.
HIBAPRESS sources confirmed that the electoral process in Azilal province proceeded in a normal atmosphere, and no protests related to the ballot results were recorded in the Ait Bougmez region in the manner promoted by some pages and websites.
This information, in contrast, calls for caution when dealing with circulated photos and clips, and for verifying their context and date of filming before presenting them to the public, especially in issues related to electoral contests and the rapid circulation of digital content that may accompany them.
