Skhirat: Civil associations protest against demonstrations of “purification” of residential subdivisions

A group of civil associations sent a protest statement, copies of which are available at Hiba Press, calling on the governor of Skhirat prefecture to intervene to contain random demonstrations in the low-cost housing districts intended for residents of Skhirat’s shantytowns.
The protesting associations have warned of the massive spread of street vendors in the neighborhoods and alleys of the residential estates to which the slum dwellers have been relocated, in exchange for the adoption by local authorities of an unnecessary approach to the current situation, that of the liberation of the main facades, which leads to the infiltration of vendors into the alleys of residential residences, the Jasmine Residence, more precisely Sector 1. While the chance of these residential neighborhoods exceeds the chance of the slums.
The associations denounced this disastrous situation and expressed their denunciation of the inability to deal with this issue seriously and responsibly, and called on the international authorities to intervene to turn these concrete forests into decent housing that meets the minimum conditions of health, safety and tranquility.
