HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif Baraka
A tragic incident occurred in the Ait Zeinab commune, near the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah in the Ouarzazate province, on Wednesday morning, September 30th. A man in his fifties was attacked by a pack of stray dogs, succumbing to his injuries.
This painful event has once again brought to the forefront the growing phenomenon of stray dogs in many areas and the danger they pose to the safety of citizens, especially in light of recurring attacks that sometimes result in tragic casualties and losses.
The incident raises questions about the effectiveness of the interventions adopted to deal with this phenomenon and the need for serious and organized action that ensures the protection of residents, while adopting approaches that consider animal welfare in accordance with legal regulations.
The incident also highlights the necessity for the responsible authorities to assume their responsibilities in curbing the spread of stray dogs, rather than merely dealing with the repercussions of incidents after they occur.
The victim's death has caused sorrow and pain among his relatives and friends, amidst calls for urgent measures to prevent the recurrence of such tragedies.
