Ouarzazate province witnessed rainy weather on Friday evening, characterized by varying rainfall, coinciding with a noticeable increase in the flow of the Dades River, which has brought back to the forefront the risks of torrents and floods that may accompany heavy rainfall in the region.
According to available data, the rainfall has led to a rise in water levels in a number of streams, while the Dades River recorded an increase in its flow, amidst a state of anticipation and caution among the residents, especially in areas and regions close to the riverbed.
This situation comes amidst the continued unstable weather conditions in the region, which necessitates enhanced vigilance and monitoring of the developments on the ground, especially with the possibility of a sudden increase in river flow due to continued rainfall.
Local authorities and competent departments are still called upon to continue monitoring the situation and take the necessary precautionary measures to protect the safety of the residents and road users, particularly in low-lying areas and points close to riverbeds.
Pending the stabilization of weather conditions, vigilance and caution remain necessary, especially for drivers and residents living along rivers and watercourses.
