HIBAPRESS – Mohamed Daher
Royal Gendarmerie elements from the Oulad Hassoun brigade in the Marrakesh prefecture, last Friday night, managed to arrest the person known as "Walad Amt Al-Falaous," who was wanted nationally under more than 15 arrest warrants across the country, for promoting hard drugs and trafficking in prohibited substances.
The arrest operation, according to the newspaper's sources, took place after the Royal Gendarmerie received precise information related to the suspect's arrival at his family's home in the Zemran area, where a well-laid ambush was set up, leading to his apprehension.
Under instructions from the Public Prosecution, a legal search of the arrested individual's home was conducted. During the search, 750 grams of hashish, 30 grams of pure cocaine, an amount of 1000 dirhams from drug sales proceeds, and a motorcycle used for his movements were found. Additionally, a large bladed weapon, a "mida," which he used to brandish at those who crossed his path, was discovered.
The arrested individual was then taken to the Oulad Hassoun Gendarmerie brigade for further investigation, to uncover other suppliers and potential accomplices in this network, and was placed under police custody before being presented to the Public Prosecution.
