The Marrakech Security Directorate has responded with great seriousness to a video clip circulated by users of instant messaging applications on mobile phones, which shows two individuals insulting and attempting to defraud and extort tourists, under the pretext that they were practicing car washing and guarding in the public street.
The investigations and inquiries conducted based on this video clip have led to the identification of the two suspects, and they were subsequently arrested on the evening of Friday, October 2nd.
The suspects have been placed under police custody pending judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution. This is to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the true motives behind the commission of these criminal acts.
