The Court of First Instance in Tangier ruled against accepting five civil lawsuits filed by the company "Somajic Parking" against a number of citizens, demanding payment of financial sums and compensation related to the non-payment of parking fees.
The judicial files concern financial claims ranging between 5,000 and 20,000 dirhams, as the company considered these amounts owed by the citizens concerned due to parking without paying exploitation fees for the parking lots.
After reviewing the presented files, the court concluded by declaring the rejection of the five lawsuits, which prevented the judiciary from responding to the financial claims submitted by the company in these cases.
These rulings bring back to the forefront the debate surrounding the management of parking lots in Tangier, the mechanisms for collecting fees and demanded amounts, as well as the legal bases and procedures adopted in this type of dispute.
