HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Baraka
The southern region of the Royal Armed Forces has witnessed, in recent days, new movement in a number of leadership positions, particularly concerning the maritime sector, as part of the redistribution of tasks and renewal of command posts.
At the level of the Royal Navy, the command of the southern maritime sector was entrusted to Admiral Said Zibakha, while Superior Naval Captain El Hassan Hassnaoui was appointed Assistant Officer to the Commander of the Middle Maritime Sector.
These appointments are part of a broader movement that included a number of responsibilities within the Royal Armed Forces, affecting land, naval, and operational sectors, in addition to changes in a number of garrisons and military sites in the southern region. They also coincide with the retirement of a number of officers starting from December 31, 2026, according to circulating information.
