Moroccan artist Adil El Miloudi sparked widespread controversy on social media platforms, following a statement in which he said that he carries a small copy of the Quran wherever he goes, including during his performances in bars.
This statement was met with widespread criticism from a number of followers, before El Miloudi clarified the truth of what he said, through a video he posted on his official Facebook page.
The artist explained that his previous statement was not true, stressing that he deliberately made it with the aim of sparking controversy, and emphasized that he had never carried the Quran with him to bars.
Adil El Miloudi's clarification came after the wide interaction that accompanied his first statements, which opened a debate among social media users.
