Abdel Samad Arshan, the Secretary-General of the Social Democratic Movement Party, completely denied the recent news and narratives circulating on social media, which claimed the dissolution of the parliamentary partnership between his party and the Constitutional Union Party. This was allegedly due to Mohamed Joudar's decision to end the coordination and present his party's papers to the Head of Government, Fatima Zahra Mansouri, to join the government formation independently.
Arshan confirmed in a special call with "HIBAPRESS" newspaper that all that is being promoted in this regard is merely false rumors with no basis in truth, explaining that the parliamentary alliance and coordination between the two leaderships is still ongoing and continuing as agreed upon to form a unified parliamentary group in the House of Representatives.
In a related context, a leadership source from the alliance revealed to "HIBAPRESS" that the leaderships of the two parties held an urgent meeting yesterday, during which they concluded not to adopt a critical opposition stance during the upcoming political season.
The same source clarified that the leaderships decided to wait for the conclusion of the government formation consultations before making a final decision, either to participate in Mansouri's government or to align with the opposition.
Following the election results, the two parties had announced the formation of a unified parliamentary group within the parliamentary dome, stating their political stance at this stage as "either we are in the majority or we are in the opposition."
