HIBAPRESS – Chichaoua
The Royal Gendarmerie elements at the territorial center in Belfaa, Chichaoua Ait Baha province, managed to arrest two individuals on suspicion of their involvement in possessing and trafficking "Mahia" (a type of alcohol) and Chira (hashish), during a security operation in the village of Imjadh.
The arrest of the suspects followed a security ambush, which resulted in them being caught possessing quantities of the mentioned substances, before being taken to the center's headquarters and placed under judicial custody.
Investigations are underway with the detainees under the supervision of the competent public prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Biougra, with the aim of determining the circumstances and details of the case and uncovering any other potential ramifications of this activity.
