HIBAPRESS – Marchoush
The commune of Marchoush hosted, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, the works of the ordinary October session, chaired by Nora Al-Mokhtar, President of the Communal Council, and in the presence of the Governor of Marchoush Command, alongside council members, to discuss and study a set of vital files related to financial management, social services, and local development.
The session witnessed the approval of the majority of items on the agenda by consensus, while the fourth item related to the accession of the Sidi Allal Al-Bahrawi commune to the rural school transport management agreement was approved by a majority vote.
The session's proceedings were not devoid of sharp discussions, balanced by a detailed examination of the school transport file. Communal advisor Boufara Mohamed questioned the reality of the service and the constraints burdening the students and their families in the region, emphasizing the need to find practical and effective solutions that ensure the continuity and improvement of the service.
On the other hand, it was decided to postpone the decision on the fifth item related to the approval of the temporary occupation of public forest land for the establishment of beehives, due to the absence of a representative from the water and forests sector, which made it impossible to resolve the file during this session.
On the financial front, the session culminated in the approval of the commune's budget project for the year 2027 and the programming of its estimated surplus, a key step aimed at outlining the financial framework and identifying spending priorities and expected development projects in the commune.
The council concluded its work by issuing a package of decisions with social and financial dimensions, amid the population's aspirations for the implementation of these outcomes on the ground and addressing the challenges at hand, most notably the rural school transport file.
