HIBAPRESS – Taourirt
Residents of the Touizia and Bernichia cooperative subdivisions in the Al-Najd neighborhood, belonging to the Taourirt municipality, are demanding intervention to address a number of deficiencies they say characterize the infrastructure situation in both areas, particularly concerning roads and rainwater drainage systems.
According to information received by the newspaper, the two subdivisions lack several essential facilities, most notably paved roads and necessary structures for draining rainwater, which, according to residents' testimonies, poses greater difficulties during periods of rainfall.
The residents indicate that the situation becomes more complicated with the onset of rain due to the absence of sufficient channels and facilities for water drainage. They are calling on the concerned authorities to conduct an on-site visit to the two areas, especially during periods of rainfall, to closely observe the magnitude of the challenges faced.
The residents believe that addressing this situation necessitates programming clear interventions to improve the road network and enhance the rainwater drainage system, thereby ensuring better living conditions and improving the level of basic facilities within the neighborhoods.
These demands place the infrastructure in the Touizia and Bernichia subdivisions in Al-Najd neighborhood in need of field intervention that takes into account the needs and expectations of the residents, especially with the recurring rainfall and the challenges it imposes related to water drainage and road conditions.
