HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif Barka
Jamal Diwani, president of the territorial collectivities group "Greater Agadir for Urban Transport and Mobility," announced a package of measures aimed at improving urban transport services in the Anza district, following a field visit to assess the mobility conditions of residents and the regularity of bus services.
The anticipated measures include the adoption of a unified ticket between line 8B and the Amal Way line starting next week, allowing passengers to continue their journeys across both lines without paying an additional fare, and reaching multiple destinations, including the Sunday Market, the administrative district, colleges, Al Huda district, and Tiguent.
The group also confirmed the continuation of transport services on lines 8B, 8, and 31, with plans to reinforce them with additional buses during peak hours once the new fleet is received and put into operation, in response to increasing demand and to improve citizens' mobility conditions.
These measures fall within an approach aimed at developing the urban transport network and strengthening coordination with local authorities and concerned parties, while continuing to listen to the feedback of residents, elected officials, and civil society actors, with the goal of enhancing service quality and meeting the needs of public transport users.
