HIBAPRESS – Tetouan
Professor Ahmed Seir, who was suspended from work at the Tetouan Education Directorate, has announced that he will resume his professional duties starting January 9, 2027, in a new development in his case, which has sparked widespread debate in educational and human rights circles and on social media.
Seir stated, in an explanatory statement he published on his personal Facebook account, that his return to work on the mentioned date will put an end to the issue that occupied public opinion over the past months.
The professor's case had caused controversy following his suspension from work in the wake of videos he posted on social media. According to his previous statements, these videos addressed the shortage of human resources and equipment in educational institutions, as well as the security approach in dealing with Gen Z protests.
The repercussions of the case extended to the family's social situation after his salary was stopped, which prompted him to engage in protest actions to demand a resolution of his administrative and social status, before his case reached the Minister of National Education, Mohammed Saad Barada, who personally intervened to solve the problem.
