The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Saturday that the attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh resulted in the death of 12 people and the injury of 309 others, including critical cases, according to a statement from the authority.
The statement clarified that the death toll includes four Saudi citizens and eight residents of various nationalities, including two from Bangladesh, an American citizen and an Egyptian, in addition to a Jordanian, a Syrian, a Palestinian, and a Sudanese.
The authority added that the injured are receiving the necessary medical care in a number of hospitals, noting that the attack caused material damage that is currently being assessed.
The authority had previously announced that the airport was attacked on the afternoon of Saturday, October 10, 2026, confirming the temporary suspension of operational activities until the assessment of damages and verification of facility safety are completed, in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The authority indicated that the attack comes in the context of what it described as continued targeting of civil aviation facilities in the Kingdom, assuring that updates will be announced later.
