HIBAPRESS-Tiznit
The Tafraout region, belonging to the province of Tiznit, witnessed heavy rainfall today, Sunday, which led to the flow of several wadis and ravines. This necessitated raising the level of vigilance and field mobilization for various concerned departments, in anticipation of any potential risks.
In this context, local authorities mobilized civil protection elements, the Royal Gendarmerie, and auxiliary forces to monitor watercourses and secure areas threatened by floods. Necessary measures were taken to prevent citizens and drivers from crossing sections that could pose a danger to their safety, in order to avoid accidents resulting from risky crossings during wadi flows.
Local data indicated that no losses were recorded as of Sunday evening, while the concerned services continue to monitor the field situation and take the necessary preventive measures, pending improvement in weather conditions.
