The elements of the regional security police in the city of Salé managed, on Thursday morning, October 15, to arrest a person with a criminal record, on suspicion of involvement in a case related to defamation, insulting public officials for performing their duties, and threatening to commit a felony.
The suspect had published a video on social media networks, in which he directed defamatory remarks, insults, and threats of physical assault against public officials working in one of the courts in the city of Rabat.
The investigations and inquiries conducted in light of this video resulted in the identification and arrest of the suspect this Thursday morning. He was subjected to a judicial investigation, which is being conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecution, to uncover all the circumstances and details of this case, as well as to determine the true background and motives behind the commission of these criminal acts.
