The city of Arfoud will host, from October 28 to November 1, 2026, the fifteenth session of the International Date Festival in Morocco, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and under the slogan "Date Palm and Innovation: Opportunities for Integrated Spatial Development."
This event, organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, by the Association of the International Date Festival in Morocco, and with the support of the National Agency for the Development of Oasis and Argan Zones, is expected to welcome more than 100,000 visitors, with the participation of stakeholders in the date production chain, institutions, companies, cooperatives, and international partners.
The festival's poles will be dedicated to displaying dates and local products, and to the participation of producing regions and supporting institutions, in addition to spaces for agricultural supplies and machinery, a date market, and a space dedicated to livestock. The program also includes scientific and professional meetings focusing on innovation, research, modern technologies, investment opportunities, and mechanisms for supporting professionals.
Agricultural consultation and health safety will be given special attention, given their role in improving the quality of production, valorizing Moroccan dates, and ensuring the sustainability of oasis areas. The festival will also include cultural activities and competitions dedicated to date products, aiming to highlight their diversity and celebrate the heritage associated with the date palm.
