HIBAPRESS – Lubna Abrouk
Mahmoud Arshan, a parliamentary advisor for the Social Democratic Constitutional Group and founder of the Social Democratic Movement Party, did not miss the opportunity during the government program discussion session at the House of Councillors on Wednesday to comment on the controversy surrounding his appearance with his son in the government consultations.
Arshan expressed his displeasure with the head of government, Fatima Ezzahra Mansouri, due to what he considered media and television censorship during his reception by Mansouri during the government consultation days.
Arshan recalled that he sat at the government consultation table with Mansouri alongside Fouzi Lekjaa, Abdel Latif Ouahbi, and Akhchichen, pointing out that the videos published by the media showed that they were only received by the head of government, adding: "This is a bad start, and unacceptable."
Arshan continued, saying: "To those who did not want to appear with us in the picture, I tell them that the officials of the Social Democratic Movement are, with all humility, among the purest in the political arena."
Arshan added, saying: "This humble man is the chief of the noble Idrissids in the region to which he belongs, an elected member of the Resistance and Liberation Army Council, and I was awarded a gold medal by the French Senate for my role in improving and enhancing Moroccan-French relations, and I was a volunteer in the Green March."
He continued, saying: "My father was proposed by the colonizer to be the leader of his tribe, but he refused in order not to cooperate with the colonizer."
Arshan added, addressing Mansouri: "Enough with the gossip and hearsay. If we want to return to the reality and know who they are, we are ready to confront them on television and identify everyone."
