HIBAPRESS – Khemisset
The "Ain El Khemis – Lalla Rahma" neighborhood on the outskirts of the city of Khemisset witnessed a state of security and local alert following the discovery of suspected human bone remains during authorized excavation work in the area.
According to consistent sources, the discovery of these remains came as a surprise during soil excavation by a heavy digging machine ("trax") that was carrying out maintenance and repair work on the sewage network in the neighborhood. Workers and supervisors noticed the presence of bones buried underground, prompting them to stop work immediately and inform the relevant authorities.
Upon learning of the incident, local authorities and national security elements, accompanied by scientific and technical police teams, rushed to the scene. A security cordon was imposed around the discovery site to facilitate the inspection process and the collection of initial data and evidence.
The same sources added that the discovered bone remains were directed to the specialized forensic laboratory for necessary laboratory and medical analyses. This is to accurately determine their nature, the duration they were underground, and to attempt to identify their owner.
A judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the competent public prosecution to ascertain all the circumstances and details of this incident, which has sparked curiosity and questions among the residents of the neighborhood and the surrounding area.
