HIBAPRESS – A. Muhyawi
The Mohammed VI Mosque in the city of Meknes hosted, on the morning of Eid al-Fitr, a distinguished atmosphere of faith, where the governor of Meknes performed the Eid prayer alongside a crowd of worshipers, and in the presence of official, civil and military figures, in a scene that reflects the symbolism of this religious occasion for Moroccans.
With the early hours of the morning, citizens flocked to the mosque to perform the prayer, in an atmosphere marked by reassurance and tranquility, chanting the takbeers that characterize this ritual, in harmony with the religious traditions that the Kingdom is keen to preserve. The Eid sermon touched on the deep meanings carried by this blessed day, as a station to strengthen the values of brotherhood and solidarity, and a clear call to adhere to the spirit of responsibility and solidarity within society, while recalling the lessons in patience and charity that Ramadan abounds with. Prayers were also raised during the sermon to protect the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and to grant him success for the good of the country, with prayers for the Crown Prince, Prince Moulay Hassan, and all members of the royal family, and mercy for the late Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II. After the end of the prayer, the governor and his accompanying delegation exchanged greetings with the citizens, in an atmosphere that embodied the spirit of Eid based on love and communication, in an image that reflects the depth of the social ties that characterize Moroccan society.
