Ksar El-Kébir: Foiling of an attempt at illicit trafficking of drugs and narcotics (Security source)

Elements of the Regional Police Station in Ksar El-Kébir succeeded, on Sunday at noon, in foiling an attempt at illicit trafficking of drugs and narcotics and seizing 14,290 psychotropic tablets “Ecstasy” and “Rivotril”.
According to a security source, this large shipment of psychotropic drugs was seized in the possession of four people, aged between 24 and 39, including two women, suspected of having links with a criminal network active in the trafficking of psychotropic drugs.
The suspects were arrested in the town of Ksar El-Kébir, red-handed in possession of 11,380 psychotropic tablets “Ecstasy” and 2,910 “Rivotril”, in addition to a dose of cocaine, an electronic scale and a sum of money suspected of coming from this criminal activity, the same source said.
The operation to check the suspects in the National Security database revealed that two of them are wanted at the national level by the services of the Judicial Police and the Royal Gendarmerie in the cities of Kenitra and Ksar El-Kebir for their alleged involvement in cases of forgery and use of forgery and drug and narcotics trafficking.
The accused were placed in police custody for the purposes of the investigation carried out under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office with a view to elucidating the ins and outs of this case and arresting the rest of the accomplices involved in this criminal activity.
