HIBAPRESS – Rabat
Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform, criticized a political party, which he did not name, in light of what he considered the promotion of incorrect data on social media about the government reneging on its promises, calling for an end to the recruitment of youth to spread these claims.
Lekjaa said that some political parties seek to promote narratives that speak of the government backtracking on its commitments, before reviewing the official data related to the finance bill, considering that such practices contribute to misleading public opinion and presenting an inaccurate picture of government work.
The minister added that he advises the concerned party to stop this style of political communication, emphasizing the necessity of relying on official data and documents when evaluating government policies, rather than making statements about decisions whose details have not yet been officially revealed.
Lekjaa's statements came during the joint public session held by the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors, in accordance with the provisions of Article 68 of the Constitution, on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the headquarters of the House of Representatives, which was dedicated to presenting the finance bill for the fiscal year 2027 by the Minister of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform.
