The Chinese Embassy in Morocco recalled the stance of the late King Hassan II, who supported the People's Republic of China's restoration of its rights at the United Nations, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the UN General Assembly's adoption of Resolution 2758 on October 25, 1971.
The embassy stated in a post published on its social media pages that China does not forget the voice of King Hassan II, which he raised at the UN in defense of what it described as China's justice and legitimate rights, considering this stance to embody the friendship and solidarity between the two countries.
The embassy added that UN Resolution 2758 was adopted by an overwhelming majority and stipulated the restoration of all rights for the People's Republic of China at the UN, and the recognition of its government's representatives as the sole legitimate representatives of China to the international organization.
The Chinese diplomatic mission affirmed that commemorating this anniversary is an occasion to recall a milestone in the shared history between Rabat and Beijing, expressing its hope for the continuation of Sino-Moroccan friendship across generations and the continuous strengthening and prosperity of bilateral relations.
The embassy concluded its post by emphasizing the strong bonds of friendship between the two countries, under the slogan: "Long live Sino-Moroccan friendship!"
