As part of preventive measures aimed at reducing the risks of diphtheria spread, a vaccination campaign targeting children relevant to health interventions was organized yesterday, Monday, in the Sidi Abdallah Al-Aiyada area of Salé, in coordination between local authorities and specialized health services.
This initiative took place in coordination with the local authority in the Sidi Abdallah and Benhidar districts and the Belaroussi annex, with the participation of authority auxiliaries and auxiliary forces elements, alongside medical staff at the health center in Douar Mika. This is part of a field mobilization aimed at facilitating the vaccination process and strengthening measures to protect children's health.
This campaign comes in the context of the health alert witnessed by the city of Salé following the recording of two deaths of children from the same family due to diphtheria. This necessitated the activation of preventive measures that included tracing and vaccinating contacts, in addition to subjecting suspected cases to the necessary medical examinations.
