In a moving testimony filled with pain and lingering questions, the mother of the young man Mohamed Bennmour, 21 years old, has come forward to speak about the circumstances surrounding the final days of her son's life.
During an appearance with YouTuber Fatima Zahra Al-Askari, the mother presented the family's account of what she claims the young man was subjected to while working on a maritime fishing vessel.
The details of the case, according to the family's statements, date back to Mohamed's joining his first professional experience within a fishing company after graduating from a maritime institute.
However, this experience lasted only 21 days, a period during which his family states that disturbing events occurred, leading them to question what their son was experiencing far from home.
According to the same account, family members received messages indicating that the young man was subjected to harassment and violence while on board the vessel. They also confirmed possessing video clips that they said documented scenes of these incidents, including him being tied up with ropes.
The family adds that Mohamed returned home in a difficult psychological state, only to pass away a few days later. This incident was a great shock to his family members, who are still demanding an explanation of what happened during his sea voyage and the revelation of the circumstances surrounding his death.
The family also spoke of their suspicion that their son was subjected to serious assaults, including sexual assault. They pointed out that they have filed a complaint with the competent authorities, attaching the evidence and video clips they possess, and demanding a comprehensive investigation and the hearing of all concerned parties in order to ascertain the truth of what happened and to take the necessary legal consequences if any violations or crimes are proven.
