Nassir Mazraoui assesses his first match with Manchester United
Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui officially took part for the first time with his new team, Manchester United, in the English Premier League opener against Fulham, thus opening a new chapter in his professional career.
Dutch coach Eric Ten Hag has given full confidence to Nassir Mazraoui, including him in the starting XI and including him on the right side of the defence, while Portuguese Diogo Dalot has been moved to left-back to compensate for the absence of Luc Shaw.
The Moroccan star played mainly in the opening Premier League match between Manchester United and Fulham, then left his place in the 81st minute, and provided a prolific response that earned him a high rating, reaching 7.4 out of 10, by the global site “Sofa Score”, as the third highest rating of the match after his teammates Casemiro (8.1) and Kobe Maino (7.1).
In the minutes he participated, the star of the Moroccan national team managed to win 6 out of 7 duels against Fulham players, 3 on the ground and 3 in the air, the highest percentage among all players. He also managed to clear the ball twice, making three successful interventions.
The former Bayern Munich player’s success rate was high in the confrontation, reaching 92%, as he managed to pass 35 balls out of 38 attempts. He made a mistake and lost the ball 3 times.
Noussair Mazraoui left the field when the result read a goalless draw, with Ten Hag deciding to bring on veteran John Evans in his place, with a change in the shape of the team’s defence as he also took off Harry Maguire and brought on the other new signing, Matthijs de Ligt.
Nassir Mazraoui recently joined the Red Devils from Bayern Munich, and has not played a single pre-season game for his new team, finding himself a starter at the start of the Premier League and performing at a high level, which has earned praise from fans on social media platforms.
Manchester United have managed to start the new English Premier League season in the best possible way, after beating their guest, Fulham (1-0), in the first round.
