“Al-Halimi” visits participants in the general census

Today, Friday in Dakhla, the High Commissioner for Planning, Ahmed Al-Halimi Alami, visited two centers hosting the training of observers and researchers participating in the general census of the population and housing, which will begin on September 1.

On this occasion, Al-Halimi indicated, in statements to the press, that during his visit to the city of Dakhla, the first stop in a tour that will include several regions of the Kingdom, he held a series of meetings with about 400 researchers and observers participating in the census process in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, stressing that he felt in them “a sense of seriousness, responsibility and complete understanding of this statistical process carried out for the first time.” time in a fully digital manner.

Al-Halimi, accompanied in particular by the governor of the Awsard region, Abdel-Rahman El-Gohary, the president of the regional council, Al-Khattat Yanja, and several elected officials, added that the spirit of mobilization demonstrated by the various actors of this statistical process reassures us of the success of the General Population and Housing Census, the seventh of the year. Its type is regulated by the Kingdom.

For his part, Mohamed Maarouf, one of the observers in the region, indicated in a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press that the visit of the High Commissioner for Planning comes to verify the preparations underway in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region for the statistical process, noting that all arrangements, particularly in their technical and logistical aspects, have been made so that the process takes place in the best conditions.

Al-Halimi, who chaired yesterday Thursday the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Regional Directorate of the High Commission for Planning in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, confirmed during a communication meeting that all the necessary conditions were met for the success of this major event that Morocco organizes every ten years, stressing that a global mobilization is the key to the success of the entire process.

It is worth noting that the High Commission for Planning had prepared a double training for the human resources responsible for implementing the census process. The first theoretical training took place online between March 15 and June 15, 2024, while the physical training was divided into three stages.

The first phase took place at the central level from July 8 to 20, the second at the regional level from July 29 to August 10, while the third phase took place at the municipal level between August 15 and 27.
