Infiltration at TICAD9: The Polisario’s dubious maneuvers foiled by Japan

Separatists from the “Polisario Front” infiltrated a preparatory ministerial meeting for the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9), which will be held from August 24 to 25, 2024 in Tokyo, according to information obtained by our colleagues from “TelQuel Arabi”.

The event, organized by Japan, invited only African countries that are members of the UN, expressly excluding the separatist “Polisario Front.”

Despite this exclusion, the separatists managed to enter Japan using false identities and Algerian passports, posing as members of the Algerian delegation. Once in the meeting room, they attempted to create the illusion that their fictitious entity was officially participating in the event by discreetly placing an unauthorized banner on a table.

Japan quickly clarified the situation officially, reaffirming that it did not recognize this puppet “state” and that its participation was in no way legitimate. This cowardly incident, which was strongly condemned by Morocco and other participants, once again underlines Algeria’s role as the main supporter of the “Polisario Front.”

The move is being interpreted as a desperate attempt by Algeria to counter Morocco’s recent diplomatic victories, including the international community’s growing support for Moroccan sovereignty over the Sahara and its autonomy plan.
